Visitors to Canada

Enjoy your visit: avoid huge bills for medical emergencies while visiting Canada!

Tourists, new immigrants and returning Canadians during the first 90 days in their province are not covered by the provincial medical plans and face huge bills in the event of a medical emergency. A simple visit to the hospital can result into thousands of dollars for medical bills! For visitors sponsored to Canada, the sponsor is liable for the full cost of the medical treatment.

For only a few dollars a day all visitors can be covered for medical emergencies. Our plans are Canadian based so in most situations the insurance pays directly to the hospitals, avoiding large out-of-pocket expenses. In many cases we can cover also stable chronic conditions. Our plans cover you also in you travel outside Canada during your visit. Various coverage amounts and deductible options are available and we can tailor the policy for your needs.

NEW: from December 2011: Canadian Parent and Grandparent Super Visa is a 10 year, multiple entry visa for periods of up to 2 years. To be eligible the visitor must provide invitation and commitment of financial support from a child or grandchild in Canada, proof they purchased Canadian medical insurance for at least one year and must complete the Immigration Medical Examination. Complete information on Citizenship and Immigration Canada site.

Canadians abroad

Short trips, long trips, frequent trips, for business or pleasure, we have the plan for you!

As Canadians we take our free health services for granted, however the provincial health plans have very low limits of reimbursement for medical expenses abroad. The current limit for Ontario residents is $50/day, well below the actual costs billed outside of Canada. The Ontario Health Insurance Plan site strongly recommends to all Canadians traveling abroad to purchase private medical insurance (Out of Country Services - Ontario Health Insurance Plan).

Single trip plans have US and non-US coverage to reduce costs if you travel outside North America. Yearly plans cover your for multiple trips and provide an economic solution for frequent and business travelers. Add-on options can cover unexpected trip cancelations due to medical emergencies and other travel risks.

Travel with peace of mind, you can be covered for all medical emergencies abroad for just a few dollars a day!
